Terms of sale
Last updated 21 October 2026 · For consumers buying from doncorvino.com
1. Who you are buying from
Don Corvino is a trading name of Rentmensell (eenmanszaak), Lingenstraat 1, 2953 CG Alblasserdam, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 91524652, VAT NL004896170B91. Email info@doncorvino.com. We aim to answer within two working days.
2. When these terms apply
These terms apply to every offer we make and every order you place through doncorvino.com as a consumer, meaning a natural person acting outside a trade or profession. They are available on the site at all times and are sent to you with the order confirmation in a form you can save. Where any clause here is stricter than EU or Dutch consumer law allows, the law wins; nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the Sale of Goods Directive (2019/771) or Book 6 and Book 7 of the Dutch Civil Code.
3. Offers, prices and discounts
- All prices are in euros and include VAT. Shipping costs are shown separately on the product page and at checkout, before you confirm the order. The total you see on the final checkout page is the total you pay.
- When we show a discount, the crossed-out “was” price is the lowest price we charged for that item in the 30 days before the discount started, as required by article 6a of the Price Indication Directive and the Dutch Prijzenbesluit.
- Obvious mistakes in a price or description do not bind us. If a price is clearly wrong, we tell you before shipping and you can cancel at no cost.
- Photos show the products as accurately as we can. Small colour differences between screen and fabric are possible. Measurements on the size chart are measured flat and can vary by about 1 cm.
- If you order for delivery outside the EU, import duties and taxes may be charged by your country. These are for your account unless the checkout says they are included.
4. How a contract is formed
You place an order by going through the checkout and pressing the button labelled “Pay and order” (or equivalent wording that makes clear you are committing to pay). We confirm receipt by email straight away. The contract is formed when we send that confirmation. Until then we may decline an order, for example when an item is out of stock, a payment fails or the order looks fraudulent. If we decline after you have paid, you are refunded in full within 14 days.
5. Payment
You can pay with iDEAL, credit or debit card, and PayPal. Payment is taken when you place the order. For pay-later methods, the provider’s own terms apply alongside these. We may run fraud checks through our payment provider. We never charge a surcharge for a payment method.
6. Delivery
- We ship to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the other EU member states. Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates. The legal maximum is 30 days after the order unless we agreed something else with you.
- If we cannot deliver within 30 days, you may cancel and are refunded in full within 14 days.
- The risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or someone you appointed, receive the parcel. If a parcel arrives damaged or does not arrive, tell us and we sort it out with the carrier; that is our problem, not yours.
- We deliver to the whole of the EU on the same terms for everyone, as the Geo-blocking Regulation (2018/302) requires; we do not have to deliver to a country we do not list, but you may arrange your own pick-up or forwarding from one we do.
7. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
As a consumer in the EU you may cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. How it works, what we refund and who pays return shipping is set out on the returns page, which includes the model withdrawal form and forms part of these terms.
8. Legal guarantee of conformity
Every product must be what we promised and fit for normal use. If it is not, you have the rights under the Sale of Goods Directive (2019/771) and articles 7:17 to 7:25 of the Dutch Civil Code:
- free repair or replacement first, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience; if that fails, is impossible or is disproportionate, a proportionate price reduction or a full refund;
- a defect that shows within one year of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery unless we show otherwise;
- there is no fixed end date on the legal guarantee: what counts is the lifespan you may reasonably expect from a garment of this kind and price;
- normal wear, wrong washing or drying, alterations, or damage you caused are not defects.
To make a claim, email info@doncorvino.com with your order number, a description and a photo. If the claim is justified, we arrange and pay the return and the repair or replacement. The legal guarantee is free and exists whether or not we offer anything on top of it.
9. Commercial guarantee
We do not offer a commercial guarantee on top of your legal rights. Your rights under section 8 apply in full.
10. Complaints and dispute resolution
If something is wrong, tell us as soon as you can at info@doncorvino.com. We confirm receipt within 2 working days and give a substantive answer within 14 days. If we need longer we say so and tell you when to expect an answer.
If we cannot sort it out together, we are not currently affiliated with an alternative dispute resolution body; you remain free to take the dispute to the competent court. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform was closed on 20 July 2025 and can no longer be used.
11. Liability
We are liable for damage caused by our failure to perform the contract as the law requires. We do not limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury, for intent or gross negligence, for defective products under the Product Liability Directive, or for anything that may not be limited under consumer law.
12. Intellectual property
The Don Corvino name, logo, texts, designs and photographs are ours. You may share them for personal, non-commercial use with the source named. Anything else needs our written consent.
13. Applicable law and court
Dutch law applies to these terms and to every contract under them. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of that country. Disputes go to the competent Dutch court; as a consumer you may also sue in the courts of the country where you live.
